It is time to Quit the ‘Motivation Porn’ and Get SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN Success

Perhaps you’ve noticed the sensation before.

You’re on Facebook or Instagram, scrolling through your feed consuming post after post of “valuable” content and inspiring information.

You strat to get pumped up, don’t you? I understand I really do.

It feels great to check out other people doing effectively and want to yourself, “That may be me!”

It feels better still to learn a motivational quote that basically resonates with you and think, “This is the precise advice I needed!”

In the rear of our minds, we believe with the proper inspiration or motivation, everything changes.

“It’ll all change, I simply need to get motivated.”

Then…nothing changes.

We even trick ourselves into convinced that we’ll finally find our way if we just do enough “research” first.

Think back again to those late nights you spent “researching” your newest obsession…or watching YouTube tutorials all night trying to “work things out.”

It felt good, didn’t it? It felt as if you were making progress because you were pouring energy into a thing that felt real.

But after months of research and wrestling with ideas, guess what happens happens to many people?

Nothing.

Nothing changes.

That is called “motivation porn.”

The theory behind motivation porn is easy: it feels good to take into account all of the wonderful changes we’re likely to make inside our life.

It feels good to take into account the person we’re likely to become whenever we finally “get our shit together.”

Actually, it feels so excellent that people often mistake our fantasies of an improved life for actually creating a better life.

But after we’re done vigorously considering each one of these great things…we often don’t have the energy to really do anything about them. It’s like watching pornography instead of venturing out and, ya know, doing genuine.

We spend all our energy in the fantasy world and leave nothing for real life.

But today, I challenge you to accomplish something different together with your life.

First day of the brand new year or not, every second counts. I’d like you to operate, shake your first at the sky and say, “FORGET ABOUT!”

Here are some thoughts to truly get you started. These don’t rank in virtually any particular order, however they are all insights which have helped me overcome the endless cycle of non-action and lastly start getting results in my own life.

Even if you’re only watching 90 minutes a day before/after work, that’s over 500 hours each year of energy allocated to something with literally no return.

Yes, there are several great shows. I really like House of Cards, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. But if we’re being honest, 99 percent of TV sucks. We just watch it because we have to “relax” and we feel just like there’s nothing else to accomplish.

This philosophy pertains to movies, too. Usually, we just watch movies because we feel just like there’s nothing easier to do. I’ve watched a huge selection of movies that, after two hours, simply made me go “meh.” Just what a waste.

That is empty time when you ought to be focusing on your idea. It is now time you need to start plotting your escape.

If there’s a specific show that you truly love, filter time for that one show every week so when it’s over, turn it off. When you wish it, make it count. If it’s not really a “hell yes!” then forget it.

It’s really that easy.

PS – in the event that you live with a spouse or spouse and TV is part of your ritual every evening, suggest something else. Or possibly just talk. I understand, a novel idea…

IF YOU NEED to Succeed, LISTED BELOW ARE 5 Things You must do Differently

If you’re eliminating TV, among the best what to replace it with is a book. I never understood individuals who didn’t read voraciously. It is definitely among my hobbies, but a lot more than that, it’s the ultimate way to solve problems. When you have a problem you’d prefer to solve, there’s a 99 percent chance that someone else has recently solved it and written the answer down in a book.

(Sneaky bastards.)

As you start reading more, you’ll strat to get a lot more ideas and upping your creativity.

It seems sensible if you think about any of it. In order for the mind to create great ideas, you will need to feed it great ideas. Exactly like everything you eat literally becomes the cells that define your body, what the human brain consumes literally becomes everything you consider.

That is an extremely powerful realization.

For all those that say reading is boring, or it certainly makes you fall asleep…just like anything, understanding how to read while staying attentive and focused is an art. It requires time, and it’s work. But it’s literally the great thing that you can do for yourself.

5 Ideas to Read 100 Books a Year

I used to truly have a really bad habit of staying until past 1 am every evening. I think in the rear of my mind, I was convinced that if I visited bed early, I’d lose out on something important.

I wasn’t. I didn’t.

Getting up early is a big key to getting ultimately more done. Nevertheless, you don’t awaken earlier simply by changing your alarm from 6am to 5am.

Your morning starts the night time before. The sooner you go to sleep, the better you are feeling when you awaken.

Seriously, just go to sleep. Not watching TV supports this because you don’t do this thing where you lay on the couch in a half coma, too tired to visit bed…but too aware of fall completely asleep.

I shoot for lights out at 10-10:30pm nowadays and awaken around 6:30 or 7am. And in the event that you do that consistently, you’ll find you won’t even need an noisy alarms to awaken. Pretty awesome.

How exactly to Trick Yourself into Learning to be a Morning Person

The mind craves consistency. Whether you understand it or not, you’ve already created a large number of patterns and habits in your daily life to make your daily life more consistent.

You may take control of the process by creating your own positive routines and sticking with them.

Begin by deliberately creating a brief set of things you’re likely to do every morning, unfailingly. Make those activities not difficult that you won’t constantly find a justification in order to avoid them…but powerful enough to really have an impact on your own life.

I spend the first few hours of my day meditating, reading, writing and exercising. That is “me” time when I don’t field requests from other folks. I ensure that you carve this out before I reach work.

Don’t have a couple of hours in the morning? Focus on thirty minutes. Just center yourself before you will need to elope and report somewhere.

And incidentally, if think the complete morning routine thing is old news because you’ve already found out about how the world’s most reliable folks have one…then maybe there’s something to be learned. Check it out.

5 Simple and Effortless Morning Routines YOU CAN BEGIN Tomorrow

Social media is integral to just how many people live our lives now, so I’m not likely to tell you firmly to cease. But think about this…

Monitor yourself. Don’t allow you to ultimately scroll and endlessly refresh the feed bouncing from page to page.

Don’t succumb to the tiny hits of dopamine you get each and every time someone “likes” a post.

Utilize it as a tool to maintain with people you value, not as a method to take up precious time you will be doing meaningful work.

I’ve just a little two-minute timer that goes off in my own head. EASILY start scrolling and fall in to the vortex, after two minutes, I simply turn off the app and put the telephone aside.

Seriously. You’re not missing anything.

I am hoping these lil’ tidbits don’t motivate you. I am hoping they don’t inspire you at all.

Why?

Because inspiration and motivation are fleeting. They’ll disappear once you close this article. Plus they need to be reapplied CONSTANTLY.

Inspiration and motivation aren’t a similar thing as change.

Change implies that you saw something, read something, heard something and felt something. It resonated so deeply that you can’t possibly live life the same manner as you did 30 seconds ago.

Something was one way. Now it’s another. That’s change.

Change may be the power behind most of humanity’s greatest accomplishments.

Change may be the power behind all of the earth’s natural mysteries.

Change is everything you feel when you fall in love.

Whatever you’ve been waiting on is really l
